House of Bamboo (“we,” “us”) operates the website at hobtiki.com. This policy explains what happens to information when you visit the site. We have deliberately kept this simple, because the site itself collects very little.
Information we collect directly
Browsing hobtiki.com does not require you to give us any personal information, and we do not ask you to create an account. Our web host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and reliability purposes. We do not use those logs to identify or track individual visitors.
If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to put in your message. We use it to reply to you and to keep a record of our correspondence. We will not add you to a marketing list simply because you emailed us or made a reservation.
Email updates
We do not currently send marketing or promotional email. If we begin to, we will send it only to people who have actively asked to receive it — for example by entering their address in a sign-up form on this site or at the venue. Contacting us, or booking a table, will not by itself sign you up.
Every marketing email we send will include a one-click unsubscribe link and our postal address. You can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing info@hobtiki.com, and we will remove you promptly.
Cookies and local storage
House of Bamboo does not set advertising or analytics cookies. The only thing we store on your device is a single browser value that remembers you have dismissed our privacy notice, so it does not reappear on every visit. It contains no personal information and is not shared with anyone. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Third-party services on this site
Some features are loaded from other companies. When those load, the provider receives your IP address and may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. We do not control those cookies and do not receive the information they collect.
- OpenTable — powers our reservation widget. If you make a reservation, the details you enter go to OpenTable. See the OpenTable Privacy Policy.
- OpenStreetMap — provides the map on our Location page. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used on this site. Google receives your IP address when fonts load. See the Google Privacy Policy.
Our Instagram link takes you to Instagram, which is governed by Meta’s own privacy policy. We do not embed Instagram tracking on this site.
We do not sell or share your personal information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are used under California law. We have never done so.
Your California privacy rights
Depending on your circumstances, California residents may have the right to request access to the personal information a business holds about them, to request its deletion, to request correction of inaccurate information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Because we collect so little, in most cases we will simply have nothing on file about you.

Children
House of Bamboo is a 21-and-over venue. This site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
